Whether you're a devout vegetarian or not, the 8th Annual World Vegetarian Day Festival is a great excuse to spend the weekend in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Enjoy some healthy yet tasty vegan cuisine, an eco-fashion show, activities for children and live entertainment from jazz music to acrobatics and belly dancing. You can even pick up a pup while you're there at the festival's pet adoption area. So how 'bout it, you can go without bacon for one weekend, can't you?
