SF is the best

It's no surprise to folks lucky enough to call San Francisco home, but it's always nice when your fave town gets some kudos from the world at large. Which is why I was so excited to see that San Francisco tops the list of U.S. cities that Conde Nast Traveler readers most like to visit, beating out the almost unbeatable big apple. Among the reasons why:

• The view—those fabled hills guarantee stunning vistas from almost every vantage point
• America's best food (locals claim), from burritos to haute-organic California cuisine
• Neighborhoods that span the spectrum from funky (Upper Haight) to industrial chic (SoMa) to posh (Pacific Heights)
