Saturday Salmon

Monday 29th October 2007

There are a million reasons to head to San Francisco's Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market on Saturday, fresh air and fresh veggies rank at the top. But here's one more reason to get down there: Cap'n Mike's Holy Smoked Salmon San Francisco Lox Sandwich, a new signature treat for locals and out-of-towners alike. Choose from three different types of lox (Northwest style, white salmon, or albacore tuna) served open-faced on fresh sourdough spread with cream cheese, topped with red onion, a fat slice of heirloom tomato, and a sprinkle of lavendar salt. Woah, my mouth is watering just writing about it. All the ingredients are sourced from sellers at the farmer's market so you know exactly where what you're eating came from. Grab one every Saturday between 8am and 2pm. A New York bagel ain't got nothin' on this 'wich.
