Nevada Turns 142!
Wednesday 18th October 2006Nevada doesn't need a reason to party but they've got one. At the end of this month the Silver State celebrates its 142nd year of statehood. The Nevada Day Parade is the highlight of the festival and takes place Saturday, October 28th at 10am in Carson City but activities will take place all week starting on October 26th and happening through October 31st, the actual anniversary. Among the festivities are live music performances, art shows, the 1864 Grand Ball, a pancake breakfast and the fabulous beard contest. Essentially, there's something for everyone so it's a celebration not to be missed. Check the website for a full schedule of events and help Nevada celebrate another birthday!
