Monterey Bay Whale Watching
Thursday 8th November 2007

If lounging on the shore and enjoying the ocean view from your first class accommocations at Marina Dunes Resort isn't enough to satiate your inner adventurer, try hopping on board a whale watching trip! Humpback and Blue whales migrate to Central California waters every year during the summer and fall so now (through mid-December) is the perfect time to see them. Monterey Bay Whale Watch is a great place to get your whale action on. The company is one of the only ones that offers trips guided by marine biologists who narrate the tour and are available to answer all of your whale-oriented questions. Trips last 4-5 hours and on average reveal 3-7 species of whales and dolphins. For $43, 4-5 hour morning trips depart every day at 9am while afternoon tours ($34) depart at 2pm and last 3-4 hours. Of course, they can't promise you'll see a whale, but an afternoon on the water is an afternoon well-spent, regardless. Click here for details and to make reservations.
