Megabus parks itself in California

Got a dollar? Ride the bus! The Megabus, that is. If you live in L.A. and are looking for a quick, easy and cheap way up to the Bay Area (or vice versa), Megabus is it. The service, which has found great success in the U.K. and the Midwest, has just launched in California. The no-frills, non-stop bus line has service from its L.A. hub to San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco. Each Megabus will have at least two $1 fares available on its 56-seat bus, first come first serve so the early booker gets the deal. But regular fares won't break the bank either with a one-way ticket around $35, less than Greyhound. The bus, with only a 15 minute rest stop on its route, is also faster than Greyhound and will be operating with new motor coaches. Get there without getting behind the wheel.
