Go green with Baggu
Saturday 4th August 2007

Yes, we know this is a little off topic for us but we figured all those trips to the grocery store could be considered mini road trips making this a totally relevant post. Plus, we just thought all our readers would love to know about Baggu. These nicely designed, easily portable bags come in a number of bold, funky colors or plain ol' khaki if you don't want to call attention to your environmental good deeds. Designed by a mother-daughter team, they're meant to be used instead of plastic and paper grocery bags, saving (according to the Baggu website) 300 - 700 disposable bags a year per person who uses a Baggu. The more you buy the more you save: one will cost you $8 but buy 6 and you'll only spend $38, which also includes 6 carrying pouches (for easy handbag storage) and a drawstring sack. So pick one (or six) up and get shopping!
