One of the best things about the Bay Area is the plethora of young, hip, totally accessible fashion designers that are inspired by the surroundings and make it their home. So every once in a while, I'm going to spotlight one of my faves so for those of you making a shoppoing hitlist for your next visit, you'll know exactly where to go and what you'll find. First up, Minnie Wilde. I've been in love with this vintage-inspired line since I moved to San Francisco way back in 2001. Run by two friends Terri and Ann, Minnie Wilde is the place to go for cute knickers, flirty dresses, and jackets that will turn heads no matter what street you're walking down. Incorporating colorful vintage fabrics and unique details, each collection includes more must-haves than I know what to do with like this "Sarah Sundress", a striped mini jumper with a front-fitted bodice and a gathered skirt with a paneled bottom hem creating a babydoll silhouette. Note the front pocket and buttons on the shoulder straps. Too cute! All of their pieces are just as irresistable so take some time to browse the collections on their website so by the time you make it to their Mission boutique, you'll know exactly what you want. Go wild at Minnie Wilde!
